Differences between hot melt adhesive films of different raw materials:
We can compare the differences between them from several common dimensions such as high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, washing resistance, dry cleaning resistance, resistance to boiling water cooking, and whether they are flame retardant;
(1) High temperature resistance: the high temperature resistance of PA and PE raw materials is above 120 degrees; the heat melt adhesive film of TPU raw materials is 110 degrees; the high temperature resistance ratio of hot melt adhesive films made of EVA raw materials is low, only 80 degrees;
(2) Low temperature resistance: the hot melt adhesive film of PA and EAA materials is resistant to a low temperature of minus 40 degrees; the hot melt adhesive film of PES raw materials is resistant to a low temperature of minus 30 degrees; the hot melt adhesive film of TPU and EVA materials is resistant to minus 20 degrees;
(3) Washable resistance: PES is more resistant to washing than PA, PA is stronger than TPU, and TPU is stronger than EVA;
(4) Dry cleaning resistance: Hot-melt adhesive films made of PA and PES materials are resistant to dry cleaning, and hot melt adhesive films made of EVA and TPU are not resistant to dry cleaning;
(5) Resistance to boiling water and flame retardancy: Nowadays, hot melt adhesive films made from functional PA raw materials can be made resistant to boiling water and flame retardant.
Why do we pay so much attention to the raw materials of hot melt adhesive film:
Due to differences in applicable occupations and materials for different types of raw materials for hot melt adhesive films, this is mainly due to compatibility between different materials. Therefore, when choosing the type of hot melt adhesive film, the first thing to consider is whether the raw material type of the corresponding hot melt adhesive film is compatible with the material!
There is no need to dwell on the popularity of hot melt adhesive film in the composite profession; one or two can be detected from its general applicability.
