We know that hot melt adhesive film is different from hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive. It does not have initial adhesiveness at room temperature, so after the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive block is packaged, there is no problem with adhesion before the adhesive block. On the other hand, the properties of the hot-melt adhesive film itself are also quite similar to that of hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives, and the compatibility has reached a relatively rational state, so there is no need to tear off the hot melt adhesive film and then put the rubber block into the furnace before production. The hot melt adhesive film can be put in with the adhesive block, and the properties of the adhesive produced will not be greatly affected.
2. What are the characteristics of coated hot melt adhesive films?
Coated hot-melt adhesive films generally have the characteristics of low melting point, good fluidity, good compatibility, and low cost. The low melting point is because the melting point of adhesives such as hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives themselves is relatively low. If the melting point of the coated hot melt adhesive film is too high, it will inevitably be difficult to melt, which will also have an effect on the melting point of the hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesives produced. Generally, the melting point of coated hot melt adhesive films is 60-80℃. The adhesive film has good fluidity. When the packaged hot-melt adhesive block is thrown into the furnace, it can be easily melted away without leaving any residue during the melting process, without causing the machine to clog.
It also makes sense to require good compatibility. Not only can the hot melt adhesive film blend well with the hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive after melting, it will not affect the performance of the hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive. The low cost is also easy to understand. Because the coated hot melt adhesive film essentially isolates the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive block, making it easy to store and handle, the thickness requirements must not be high. Generally, the thickness requirements are only about the thickness of 2 wires, so the manufacturing cost is relatively low.
